FarmVille Hawaii 13: Help Captain Hale’s Seaworthy Journey
Get ready for a new Hawaii Quests this July 2013 in FarmVille help Captain Hale’s seaworthy journey! This will be the Hawaii Chapter 13 which has the quest title “A Three Hour Tour?”. We will be taking a tour around Hawaii Paradise with Captain Hale on her ship the S.S. Guffy.
This will be the FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise Chapter 13 Quests but it will be different from the regular Hawaii quest. This one will have 12 stage and will be running for 30 days. Yes this is a special quest where you don’t have to ask your friends for items. Most of the tasks are just plain plant and harvest crops. Don’t think for a moment that this will be a boring quest. There are two tasks here that may serve as a challenge. The raising the level of the recipe tasks. There are two of them here Poi recipe and the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. But if you did the last Hawaii Special Quests your Poi and Sweet and Sour Shrimp may already nearing the level 40 and 45. If you’re planning to do this quests you may want to start crafting this 2 recipes in your Tiki Bar. Note: Tentative release is on July 4, Friday.

Info: Crafted in the Tiki Bar and it will need Kelp Bushels x1, Oyster Bushels x2 and Spinach x2.

8 hours growing time for the red pineapple. Just planted mine for the quest to start next week in Hawaii. Looks like fun quest. I finished the last one so hopefully will get through this one.

I just planted some red pineapple last night. Within a few minutes of planting it, it showed it only needed 7 days and 14 hours until harvesting. So that slightly better than 8 full days.
8 days?????? Seriously????? I guess the only way to get this one done is to plant them on an unused farm that has enough plots for the 3 separate harvests you need and only harvest as much as you need at a time, using unwithers on them? Wow… 8 days? That’s insane -_-
Oh and start collecting the bushels from your neighbors ASAP since on the last leg you need 20 of them for a recipe. Definitely don’t want to reach the end of this only to find you don’t have enough for the cake. Especially with how bushel yield on a newer crop is sketchy at best.
That might be the best way to do it. Red Pineapple can be planted in any farm location. Hanging Garden has 300 plots it can be also be used.
I’ve done all I can with my Hanging Gardens, and I’ve only got 91 plots to farm. How did you get 300?

Try adding together the number of hours/days required using the longest harvest time for each part of the quest. It adds up to 32 days, 4 hours, and that’s assuming you harvest and plant the next crop immediately each one is ready. It doesn’t make any difference where you plant Red Pineapple, you’ve still got wait until it’s harvestable before going onto the next section. And, do you have enough plots available especially when both crops are ‘locked’ to this farm? By Quest 5 you will need 400 plots and by Quest 9 the number rises to 650 (to do that many will require a 48×48 farm). Is yours big enough? Personally, I think that this quest is going to be impossible without using things such as Instagrow on the Red Pineapple to speed up the whole quest.
Red Pineapple can be grown on other farms.
My Hawaiian farm is 495 land plots, but it’s 38×38, though.
red pineapple doesnt even show in my crops list and it takes 8 days to grow?!?
Red Pineapple Cakes recipe is “frozen” and does not recognize that I have all the necessary bushels. Needless to say, I do have a Level 5 Tiki Hut.
Use an Instant Grow for the 8-day crop…grow enough for the entire quest on a larger farm
The Red Pineapple Cake recipe is written wrong .. instead of the three ingredients being “bushels” they are just the crop .. so it will never be able to be made unless they fix it :/
I’m on quest 3 and it requires poi to be level 45?? I haven’t really made any recipes on Hawaii for about a year and my poi and sweet and sour shrimp are only at level 11. I don’t have the fv cash to skip the requirement and not enough time to level up the recipes that high. Giving up on this one unless someone has tips to help
Instant grow is great for the red pineapples! My problem is to get the sweet and sour shrimp to level 40! I am only on level 21 now.
I agree last week when I started with the sweet and sour shrimp, I was below level 20, now I’m up to 22. I’m asking my friends to buy too, so that can help level me up. Luckily, my Poi already at level 45.
Can we put the tiki bar on any other farm? Would help to level up faster.
The recipe for the final stage has been unlocked. Not sure if they unlocked it or if it unlocks after a certain stage (I’m on 9), but it works now.
So when did Red Pineapple become an 8-hour crop, not an 8-day?
But what then doesn’t make sense is that the crop I planted to be ready in three days time is now showing that it is ready to harvest although, if it is now an 8-day crop, why hasn’t it withered as it’s five days since I planted it?
And, isn’t it a shame that Zynga couldn’t tell us what they’d done.
I just noticed today that it was ready to be harvested. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been ready until tomorrow. Nice surprise! It would have been nice if there had been some notification or adjustment of days already wasted waiting for it to be ready.
Zynga adjusted the harvest time for Red Pineapple from 8 days to 8 hours.
I noticed yesterday that it says 8 hours. Funny, as it was after I waited 8 days for my first 100 to mature. My English farm is full of withered red pineapples, but I’m happy that it’s now 8 hours. Now if only I can get my shrimps up another 20 or so levels to 45. I’ve been working on them since before this quest started.

I agree…It took me forever to get the poi to 45….only 2 days left so no way I will get anything else done 🙁
luckily somehow, I had already had my poi at 45, but it took me until earlier this week to get the S&S shrimps to 40. Using instagrows, I should be able to finish off the rest of the quest. I’m on the last level now and just need to make some more red pineapple cakes.
Hey…is there expansions for the Hanging Garden farm? I have done all that I can do but yet getting shovels and have a ton and it keeps popping up every so often to go build but I see nowhere to build and also is it seriously just all that work for one unwither a week? Thought it would be more than that with all the work I put into it to get to the top for the ultimate..unwither…
